How do you post an animated gif

i been having alot of trouble with this i been using flash to make animations i just make a animation of 1 attack of my sprite then i saved as an animated gif after that i uploaded it to photobucket but for some reason it wont play the animation it just shows the first sprite of all the frames and the color is ruined on it even when i put quality highest it can be.Can someone help me out with this im confuzed on this one i have googled at many sites and can't find anything please give me the steps somebody

ok then this is what i have been doing -

1.make sprites
2.i put them into flash and everything and made an animation with 5 frames
3. Files>Export>Export movie>Export as Animated Gif
4.Uploaded to photobucket

after i did that i checked on the image and it always saves as only a picture with no animation with really ruined quality.What is it that i did wrong?

but on a different website it works when i save it as a swf. file

Photoshop.
Gimp.
FF.

Don't care.

Never use Flash for animating gifs.

yea i learned that now it worked better with gif animator Thank you eriko for all the help

Fireworks is the best for animating gifs.
